What is Add On Cooling?
Add on cooling is an addition of a evaporator coil and condensing unit added to your existing gas central heating system and so providing the ability to deliver cool, refrigerated air throughout your home.
The existing fan within the heater is utilised as are your ductwork and registers. On an existing system some upgrades may be required before a cooling system can be fitted to function correctly. We can
advise you of this when we do your free no obligation quote.
On a new system the design and fan factor is already calculated. Zoning your system is another possibility, eg. bedrooms separate (Picture Add on Cooling) from living areas OR 2 storey homes - one zone upstairs, one downstairs.
This type of system can be added to any heating system. The power utilised can be 1 phase 24OV or 3 phase 415V. This is determined either at building stage or on-site inspection of property.
Cooling only units can be also utilised for ducted cooling of your premises, with being domestic or commercial application. This system has its own fan with a built in evaporator coil.
The fan coil unit is usually situated in the ceiling with ductwork and registers to each room. The systems are available in 1 phase 240V up to 15KW and 3 phase, 415 V up to 40KW
